On Scientific Discovery Processes – The Zen of Python

In the minds of the general public, the mission of “scientists” is to advance human knowledge. In reality, in addition to the “thrill” of discovery (which is rare!), what we enjoy the most daily is probably the scientific process itself – simply experimenting. I have been thinking and wondering “What is the ideal scientific process?” Newbies and veterans are very likely to have different understandings of what is called a “good process”. We are certainly horning our “process” constantly. Is there even a succinct and elegant way to describe it?

For our biologist, you would think computer science is far from our “biological” way of thinking about biology. Actually, I have recently discovered amazing similarities pertaining to how to practice the scientific process even in seemingly different fields. Check this out 😀
